MM on Strength and Size

Mike Mentzer: "I′ve observed this pattern of response in many of my personal training clients:

they will gain regularly in strength for months with little or no increase in size…

and then within a short period of time, they′ll find themselves several pounds heavier."

Principle: for the majority, STRENGTH INCREASES PRECEDE SIZE INCREASES.

Any comments on the above based on your own bodybuilding experiences?

no one should have to wait months before they see an increase in size if they′re training properly for it.

You and I agree there. If your program doesn′t allow you to gain about 1lb of muscle a week during a bulk, then you need a new program.
