Flexing and Posing

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if you guys flex or pose throughout the week. I was wondering if anyone thinks it can affect recovery ability. I have been flexing more often than usual lately, and I′m afraid it may interfere inbetween workouts. If you do pose, how do you do it? Do you do a whole routine or something? How long do you pose for (like hold 5 seconds with maximum contraction, or just partial contraction)?

Sorry for all the questions, just curious.

I always, ALWAYS flex and pose when I see a mirror. I just can′t help it! Many may see it as being self absorbed, but I see it as caring about yourself and self improvement. I too have often wondered if posing interferes at all with recovery ability. Im sure not that much, you do stretch the muscle, so maybe it may even help with damaged fibres?

I don′t think flexing and posing would have a significant effect on the recovery ability . I think sometimes we HITers are so concerned with our recovery ability that we sometimes avoid doing even simple physical activities or chores! I honestly don′t believe that our recovery ability is very FRAGILE and VERY LIMITED that adding the simpliest activiy could somehow jeopardize it. I myself do HIT but still continue to do somekind of worthwhile activities whenever I feel doing it and I don′t feel it HINDERS my bodybuilding PROGRESS in any way . ENJOY LIFE ! Bodybuilding is NOT the only purpose in life . PEACE.
